A presentation of the Downtown Strategic Plan will be held on April 26, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. in the north room of the Maryville Community Center. The strategic plan is a culmination of the analysis completed as part of the Downtown Revitalization and Economic Assistance for Missouri (DREAM) Initiative since Maryville’s designation of DREAM status. The document provides a guide for the next phase of implementation and will move the community toward its desired goals for downtown.

A presentation of the major plan recommendations will be provided by Mike Hemmer of PGAV Planners. Representatives of the Department of Economic Development, the Missouri Development Finance Board, and the Missouri Housing Development Commission may also be in attendance.

The presentation is open to the public and all public input is welcome. Attendees will be able to provide input at the meeting or via an internet survey site at a later date. The DREAM Initiative helps small and mid-sized Missouri communities improve access to existing State assistance programs that help with downtown revitalization and job creation efforts. The DREAM Initiative allows communities to more effectively engage in downtown redevelopment and revitalization as well as attract new private investment into the heart of their communities.
