South Depot Construction Set to Begin
Public Meeting

Maryville, MO – Businesses and residents along South Depot Street will soon see construction begin in their neighborhood. Loch and Sand Construction Company Inc., of Maryville, will begin working on a new roadway and various storm drainage improvements designed by Olsson Associates in mid-October. The project will encompass a new concrete roadway along Depot from First Street to Halsey Street, new stormwater pipe, and relocation of the existing waterline. This project is estimated to take one-hundred fifty (150) working days with substantial completion in May of 2013.

Property owners near the project are encouraged to attend the public meeting set for 6:00 p.m., Thursday, October 4th, at City Hall to discuss alternate access points made available for residents and businesses during construction. There will also be plans available to show the entire scope of this project.

Olsson Associates, Loch Sand and Construction Company Inc., and the City of Maryville will have representatives in attendance at the meeting to address citizen questions and concerns.

South Depot Street has been reduced to a gravel roadway from years of heavy truck traffic and has become a major maintenance concern. The City Council has approved the use of Capital Improvement funding to reconstruct this section of the roadway as a concrete surface.
