Kawasaki Completes Tax Credit Need for 4th Street Improvement Project

Maryville, MO – Kawasaki Motors Manufacturing Corp., U.S.A. has agreed to purchase up to $200,000 in Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP) tax credits to contribute to the 4th Street Improvement Project, Phase I. The 70% Missouri State Tax Credits were made available through the Missouri Department of Economic Development’s Neighborhood Assistance Program to assist with ancillary construction features of the project. The 4th Street Improvement Project is designed to functionally and aesthetically improve the corridor between downtown Maryville and the campus of Northwest Missouri State University.

The significant contribution by Kawasaki completes sale of available tax credits and ensures adequate funding for completion of the project. Total contributions in the amount of $483,000 were secured during the tax credit revitalization effort by Nodaway County Economic Development (NCED) and the City of Maryville. The City expresses appreciation to Kawasaki for their partnership and all individual donors during the process.
