Well Bank to build facility in Maryville

Wells Bank of Platte City is pleased to announce that it has filed an application to construct a new banking facility in Maryville, MO.
Wells Bank of Platte City is pleased to announce that it has filed an application to construct a new banking facility in Maryville, MO. Wells Bank has been partnering with the City of Maryville to facilitate the project for the last several months. The new facility will be located at 2920 South Main Street directly across from Applebee’s restaurant. The 3,400 square foot building will have three drive through lanes, one with ATM access. It will be staffed to offer a full line of personal and business deposit and loan accounts, including fixed rate mortgages for residential and agricultural real estate.

Wells Bank is a $120 million bank headquartered in Platte City Missouri with a branch office in Kansas City. The Bank has several officers with local ties to Nodaway County including their President and Chief Executive Officer Robert Barmann who spent 20 years at Bank Midwest. Other officers from the area include Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Brad Meyer, Senior Vice President and Loan Officer Joe Carroll, Vice President and Compliance Officer Stephanie (Heitman) Walker and Assistant Vice President and Loan Processing Manager Eric Henry.

“Wells Bank is a true community bank that has served the Platte City community for over 100 years. Every decision we make has a community banking influence which we believe gives us an advantage in today’s banking landscape” said Robert Barmann .

According to City Manager Greg McDanel, “Wells Bank is anticipated to become the anchor to a 25 acre development that will include additional retail and housing. The City Council is expected to consider a Development Agreement regarding public infrastructure to the site at its regular meeting on Monday, January 26th.”

The new Maryville facility is scheduled to open for business in the fourth quarter of 2015.
