Detailed Water Rates
Monthly charges for water service:
(from Chapter 705, Article II of the Municipal Code)

1. Rates for users within City limits.

 

For the first one hundred (100) cubic feet or fraction thereof

$5.23 (minimum charge)

For the next four thousand nine hundred (4,900) cubic feet or fraction thereof

$4.76 per 100 cubic feet

For all in excess of five thousand (5,000) cubic feet

$4.69 per 100 cubic feet

 

2. Rates for users outside City limits.

 

For the first ten thousand (10,000) cubic feet or fraction thereof

the City rate plus ten percent (10%)

For all in excess of ten thousand (10,000) cubic feet

$4.81 per 100 cubic feet

 

3. Rates for Public Water Supply District--Nodaway County.

 

For each one thousand (1,000) gallons or fraction thereof

$6.46 per 1000 gallons

 

4. Rates for unannexed users in service territory acquired from Public Water Supply District No.--Nodaway County.

 

For the first one hundred (100) cubic feet or fraction thereof

$10.45 (minimum charge)

For the next four thousand nine hundred (4,900) cubic feet or fraction thereof

$9.53 per 100 cubic feet

For all in excess of five thousand (5,000) cubic feet

$9.37 per 100 cubic feet

 

5. Monthly minimum charge for customers with meters other than five-eighths (5/8) or five-eighths (5/8) by three-fourths (¾) inch size:

6. Rates for bulk sales.

 

$8.00 per one thousand (1,000) gallons or any fraction thereof

 

7. Charges for private fire hydrants and automatic sprinkler systems.

 

$3.89 per month for each fire hydrant which shall include water consumed in the proper use of such fire.

$3.89 per month for up to one hundred (100) sprinkler heads, plus an additional monthly charge of three cents ($0.03) for each head in excess of one hundred (100) which shall include water consumed in the proper use of such system.
